Location

Veryan is a delightful village, famous for its five Round Houses and situated in an ideal position to explore the whole of Cornwall.

There is a sports complex in the village with indoor & outdoor bowling, tennis and cricket.

Other activities to enjoy locally are sailing, fishing, walking the many inland footpaths & coastal paths, swimming, canoeing, cycling and horse riding.

The local pub/restaurant is only a short walk from the house but there are many good restaurants on the Roseland Peninsula. The nearby beaches of Carne & Pendower are unspoilt, sandy and very safe for children to swim and when the tide is out it is just one long beach.

Lands End is about 50 miles to the west and Plymouth is about 50 miles to the east. Newquay (and airport) is about 22 miles to the north, the city of Truro is 12 miles away and St Mawes just 8 miles.

The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Caerhays Castle & Gardens and many of the National Trust properties are all within easy reach.

Veryan is conveniently situated to visit the World Heritage Sites in Cornwall.  This accolade recognises the importance of Cornwall's contribution to world class mining.  The ten sub-areas comprise historic mining landscapes & mine buildings and reflect Cornwall's cultural heritage - in additon to its important role in technological innovation and scientific research.
